ABOUT ASHLEY

Ashley Armitage studied photography while at the University of Florida, and through her training in the camera department on the HBO Mini-series “From the Earth to the Moon” she found her passion.   As her love and her desire to be creative, thinking outside the box, she directed innovative commercials, and formed her own photography studio, Ashley Photography.  She is warm, vibrant, professional, easygoing, and with a personality that will make you feel comfortable on your most exciting day and in front of the camera.

Ashley Photography Mission:

As a story teller, Ashley Photography captures moments in an organic, unobtrusive manner.   She blends in as if she were one of the guest capturing your tender quiet moments as well as the loud burst of excitement.  With no set shot list, your moments will be captured telling your story, making your wedding stand alone from the rest.  It’s your wedding day.  We’ll guide, but we won’t pose, or direct action.  Our trust between each other will gain a forever lasting friendship.

Why Ashley Photography?:

At first my company name was “Wish You Were Here Photography” thinking that’s a catchy name and people will remember it.  I was wrong.  On island, people associate other people by their profession, not by their birth name.  So I acquired Ashley Rockstar Talented Amazing Gifted Photographer, but to keep it simple and humble, I went with Ashley Photography.

As a photojournalist, every frame tells a story.

*Note from photographer: To share moments of my life with you, here are some photographs of me and some great moments of my life growing up. Since I can't capture every moment with me in the photograph, either a friend, family member, or a professional photographer has taken the photograph for me. If a professional photographer has taken the shot, I do have permission by the company to use the photograph on this site.
